Kaduna Electric Board to Review Franchising Pilot Scheme

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Garba Haruna has said that the Board of Directors shall review the franchising pilot scheme during the next board meeting scheduled for next week.
He made the
assertion on Wednesday during a one-day performance review of the eight (8)
Franchisees for the periods July to September and October to December 2019,
respectively.
He expressed
strong reservation on the marginal improvement in the collection efficiency
recorded by the franchisees during the period under review and charged them to
redouble their effort for better performance.
“The 2.81% and
5.32% collection efficiency's improvement recorded in the 1st and 2nd phases of
the scheme is not worthwhile. Therefore, I charge you to redouble your effort
and ensure more significant improvement in the collection efficiency”, he said.
The Managing
Director also charged the Franchisees to ensure full customers alignment to the
respective DTs and ensure complete enumeration of all electricity users in
their franchise area.
He admonished them
to ensure that all new captured are send to the billing department immediately
and disclosed that the Company would in due cost meter Gwandu and Argungu 33KV
feeders in Kebbi State for effective energy accountability.
Management, Staff Bid Captain Sanjeev Farewell

The spokesman of
the Company, Abdulazeez Abdullahi described Capt. Sanjeev Kaushik as a
hardworking leader who always allow his subordinates to freely express their
views and opinions while providing the necessarily guidance.
“we really
appreciate all your contributions towards our achievement; your honesty,
integrity and loyalty are virtues that each of us should have; you are someone
who we always rely on; you will always remain a worthy ambassador of Kaduna
Electric; may you grow higher in your new beginning”, he said.
The Head of
Operations, Engr. Aliyu Abbas also described Captain Sanjeev as a hardworking
officer who stops at nothing in ensuring the accomplishments of the set
objectives and within the stipulated time.
According to him,
“before Capt. Sanjeev came on board, we all knew what the relationship between
the Company, the in-house Unions and the Staff was, despites all the challenges
he faced, he was able to normalized the relationship which of course you can
see now the Company, Staff and Unions operates at the same level. The footprint
you left will be with us forever”, he said.
In his remark,
Captain Sanjeev Kaushik thanked the Management and the entire staff for the
cooperation, understanding and beautiful remarks made about him.
“I am deeply
humbled by the honor done to me and most of the speakers’ talk about my
positive side, no criticism of my negative part like I take sometimes
deliberately take a lot of time studying issues before taking decision and I am very secretive”.
Captain Sanjeev
who has seen left the country on the 1st January 2020, spend about two years
with Kaduna Electric.
