‘’We Would Recover More Debt by Extending the CCG Programme’’…. Marwa Tariq


CCD: Can you briefly tell us about yourself?                             

MTK: My name is Marwa Tariq Khoury. I am a very positive person about every aspect of my life. I began my career in Kaduna Electric a few years ago. I was drawn to the Power industry space. I started working in Rigasa Area Office as an SR then Later CSR and then I was

transferred to Doka Area Office as a CSR, then later to the Call Centre as a Call Centre Rep. and now a Marketing and Revenue Assurance Officer (MRAO) in the CMRAO's office. I’ve always been skilled at bringing people together and working towards common goals. Highly organized, detailed oriented and effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience. Out of the box approach to coming up with solutions. Excels at creating efficient, streamlined designs that meets the needs and addresses issues.
Ability to work with others as a team to accomplish the desired task.
Effective in time management. Ensures that all reports are sent accurately and promptly. Keen interest in languages and fluent in English and Hausa. My experience successfully led me to administration and I've been building a
career for last the five years in Kaduna Electric.                                                                                                                        
CCD: What is your role in Marketing and Revenue Assurance Department?

MTK: In my current capacity as a Marketing and Revenue Assurance Officer in MRA Dept., the efficiency and effectiveness of the office of the CMRAO’s has been a
personal focus especially as it relates to the Department as a whole. I
oversee activities related to the department which includes compiling
reports for the Chief Marketing and Revenue Assurance Officer; handling
customer complaints that comes into the CMRAO's office and ensuring the
complaints are channelled to the right unit under MRA; hold regular/weekly
meetings with all the 11 units under MRA etc.; tracks the activities of the
various units under marketing and revenue assurance department such as
Energy Audit Unit, Metering Unit, New Connections Unit, Billing, Premium Customers Unit etc.  to ensure synergy and productivity amongst the various units; conducts and prepares monthly internal performance review for the
units under Marketing and Revenue Assurance department; performs quality assurance for customer account adjustment documents before it is being sent to the billing unit for final implementation; ensures all reports are sent in a timely manner from all units under the department for prompt compilation; performs any other tasks assign by the
Chief Marketing and Revenue Assurance Officer.

CCD: How do you manage your daily activities?

MTK: At the beginning of the week, I make a list of weekly activities and classify daily activities to be accomplished.
Then I prioritize the list to ensure that I accomplish those things by the
end of the week from weekly reports, to hosting weekly meetings for MRA with
all 11 units etc.

CCD: Do you have any suggestion or strategy on how you can improve the performance of Marketing and Revenue Assurance Department and Kaduna Electric at large?
MTK: End to End metering on Band A,B,C feeders, debt collection by extending the CCG promo, annual end of year promos for PPM customers,  
proper PPM monitoring to reduce energy leakages, know your customer engagements to hear feedbacks directly.

CCD: What do you consider the challenges of meeting your set objectives?

MTK: Afraid to move out of my comfort zone and unrealistic
deadlines
