Sokoto Regional Manager Visits SSS Director

 

Kaduna Electric Regional Manager, Sokoto Regional Office, Mr. Zanna Ahmed Ashmi has called on the Department of State Security Service, DSS, to support the Company's effort in ensuring steady power supply in the state.

 Mr. Zanna made the appeal while on a
courtesy visit, accompanied by the Management team to the Director State Security service, Sokoto state Command, Mr. Fatai Olawuwo.

 The Regional Manager stated that, "the major challenges facing Kaduna Electric is vandalization of the company's equipment, Energy theft/ Meter bypass and installations and called on the director to help the company especially on the issue of curbing vandalization of power supply infrastructure.

 The Regional Manager highlighted how power is critical to security and economy, he thank the Director for the warm reception accorded to his team.

While responding, the Sokoto State Director, State Security Services, Mr. Fatai Olawuwo, promised to support the company, provide security to Kaduna Electric installations to ensure effective service delivery in the state.

 The DSS boss said, "It is our responsibility to protect the lives and properties of the entire people of the state. I am ready to support you, without power supply there won't be any development. Issue should be addressed in polite manner and, if anything beyond your control comes up, please, report the matter for necessary action power is critical asset we don't take it for granted."

He assured the company of maximum support and cooperation needed for smooth operations.

Kebbi Commissioner of Police Assures Kaduna Electric Safe Working Environment.

 

 The Regional Manager Barr. Makinu Muhammad Sani paid a courtesy visit to newly deployed Commissioner of Police.


 

In his remarks Barr. Makinu stated that as a critical stakeholder, Nigerian Police Force has been playing a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of both facilities and staff of the company in the state.

We have to register our profound gratitude for the tremendous support we always get from you in discharging our business operations.

 I am appealing to the Commissioner to continue to support the company's operations in Kebbi State as the company is losing a lot of revenue due to energy theft and vandalism of power installations.


 

I am at this point imploring to use your office as we are going to setup a joint task committee that will ensure prosecution of these offenders instantaneously, he said.

While responding, the Commissioner of Police CP. Bello M Sani thanked the Regional Manager and his team for coming to visit him and discuss issues of mutual benefit.

NSCDC CORP LIAISES WITH KADUNA ELECTRIC TO PREVENT VANDALISM

 

The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp, Alhaji Sani Mustapha, has affirmed his commitment to enhance surveillance of Kaduna electric infrastructure, sites, and projects to prevent vandalism and energy theft to ensure efficient service delivery to the state.

 The state commander of Zamfara State Command made this statement during courtesy visit by the management of the Zamfara Regional Office to his office recently in Gusau.


 

 The Commandant stressed that the protection of the civil populace and to avert vandalism of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure is mandated for his command and on any property to search for any potential evidence of vandalism.

 Alhaji Sani further appealed to Kaduna Electric to avail his Command with details about those who have carried out activities that negatively affect the economy, and harm communities, he said this would help them tackle issues that have to do with the security and well-being of the company.

 Earlier, the Zamfara Regional Manager Gaddafi Ibrahim Saminaka stated that electricity theft and vandalism are widespread issues throughout the franchise state of the organization.

 He said there has been consistent problem of mindless vandalism targeting power assets within the organization, as well as other ethical issues leading to electricity theft. He noted that the act is significantly impacting the efficiency of electricity and resulting in a substantial loss of funds.


 Mr. Gaddafi commended the Corp for being an important resource in protecting the organization's assets, highlighting their efforts in preventing vandalism and other crimes that could impact business activities.

 
On the issue of staff abuse of office and responsibility, he said the organization would take appropriate actions according to its rules and regulations against any utility employees’ staff who abuse his responsibilities by colluding with electricity consumers for personal financial gain instead of fulfilling their duties honestly and impartially.
