Board Chairman, MD/CEO Commend Sokoto Region's March Performance

The Managing Director CEO, Kaduna Electric, Dr Umar Abubakar Hashidu, has commended the staff of Sokoto region for last month's outstanding collection performance of N761 million.

He acknowledged that despite the Ramadan fasting period, staffs worked hard to record the outstanding performance.

The MD/CEO, made the commendation during an enlarged family meeting with the Chairman Board of Directors, Deputy Managing Director, Chief Finance Officer and staff of Sokoto Region, stating that, the aim of the meeting was for the Chairman, Board of Directors to encourage the staff to continue putting in their best to improve collection.

He however, charged the staff of the region to do more in order to improve the revenue and reduce the Company's ATC&C losses.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Kaduna Electric, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, appreciated and commended the collection performance of Sokoto Region.

He said, he got the news of the outstanding performance that was the reason he was in Sokoto to appreciate and encourage the staff.

The Chairman said, "ASI Engineering took over the company with 70% ATC&C loses but, last month or currently the ATC&C loses is reduce to 40%.

 

"The target is to reduce the ATC&C loses of the company to 23%.  Kaduna Electric is at the bottom, and the Vision of ASI Engineering is to be among the best electricity distribution companies in Nigeria.


"The bench mark of Sokoto region collection is now N1billion and the potential are there. We need to do more to achieve that."

The board chairman showed his displeasure with the condition of the regional office saying the atmosphere is not conducive.  He promised to provide working tools to enhance efficient work.

 


Kaduna Electric and State Security Service Strengthen Collaboration for Improved Service Delivery

Kaduna Electric recently strengthened its ties with the State Security Service through a courtesy visit led by Regional Manager Mr. Mu'azu Aliyu to the State Director of Security Service in Kaduna, Mr. Hakeem Abiola.


The visit aimed to foster seamless collaboration between the two entities, particularly in safeguarding critical infrastructure and promoting community development.

Mr. Aliyu commended the state security service in helping with the safeguarding of the Company’s infrastructure and providing Kaduna Electric with its maximum support towards promoting community development.

During the meeting, Mr. Abiola emphasized the importance of safeguarding critical infrastructure, including Kaduna Electric's installations, to ensure effective service delivery and maintain public safety.

He also highlighted the State Security Service's role as part of the national security agency, which encompasses all aspects of security to ensure citizens enjoy their privileges. Mr. Abiola praised Kaduna Electric's efforts, acknowledging the critical role the power sector plays in the national economy.

He also expressed awareness of the challenges citizens face when paying for electricity and emphasized the need for awareness, empowerment, and capacity building to address these issues.

The State Security Service pledged to continue supporting Kaduna Electric, with plans to extend support to their franchise area.
